A Mohs Micrographic Surgical Physician Assistant is an NCCPA certified Physician Assistant that works with a Mohs Micrographic Surgeon who is a member of the American College of Mohs Surgery.
Mohs PAs work in many capacities with Mohs Surgeons.
Primarily dealing with the surgical patient management, Mohs PAs take part in a team approach to medical care. the Mohs PA is involved in some part of the following:
- Preoperative
- Consultation
- Preoperative medications
- Day of Surgery
- Anesthesia
- Surgical Prep
- Assist with Mohs Stages
- Reconstruction and assist with more complicated reconstructions
- Wound care instructions
- Postoperative medications
- Postoperative Care
- Follow up care (suture removal)
- Complication management
